Well Christmas has now been and gone with many amazing visits with family, lots of present opening, A LOT of food eating, some sad goodbyes (Grandpa Jim is off to Bermuda), a few days of illness, and no lack of excitement!
We spent a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Cambridge and Bodhi woke up on Christmas morning to a pile of presents from Santa including his first talking Elmo! A BIG HIT! We had such a great visit and were sad to leave on Boxing Day, but it was time for the next leg of our adventure....St. Catharine's to see Great-Grandma, Grandpa Jim, Rheanne, Morgan and Quinn. We had a lovely day at Great-Grandma's but were sad to have to say goodbye to Grandpa and Company as they headed off on their adventure of a lifetime in Bermuda. After a brief stop at home (aaah, a couple of nights in our own beds!), it was off to Kingston for some more family time. We had a great visit with Grandma, Uncle Brett, Aunt Karen, Sophie and Clara and celebrated Grandma and my birthdays in style!
For my birthday, Bodhi gave me one hour in a bubble bath all to myself with candles, snacks and celebrity gossip magazines - what more could a Mommy want? On Grandma's birthday we all got together and had a cooking competition! We were all assigned one of Grandma's favourite foods and had to come up with a dish using that food as the main ingredient - there were ballots too, of course! It was lots of fun!
Then back to Toronto on New Year's Eve for a couple of sick days for Mommy and Daddy while Bodhi happily (and healthily - phew!) played around us.
I apologize if this entry seems slightly distracted - but it is exactly that. I'm using writing this as a distraction from the first night of sleep training which is happening in the next room. Wish us all luck!
