What a beautiful day today! The kind of day where snowsuits are finally abandoned and sunglasses are dusted off. Bodhi and I started our day by taking a trip downtown to cheer on our favourite runner - Daddy! Dan ran his first 5K today and beat his goal time to boot (that's him in the green shirt and white shorts - you know, the bald one!). It was so fun standing at the finish line and watching him run in all sweaty and smiling - I felt very proud! After a quick shop around MEC we headed home for some lunch and then a trip to the park. Because Bodhi was born in May, he was still a little young for playgrounds last summer and all the park time we had was mostly napping in the stroller to the sound of older kids playing. Not anymore! I've been looking forward to the moment when the weather would warm up and we could take Bodhi for his first swing. It was awesome! He loved every second of it! We spent A LOT of time on the swings and then after a few trips down the slide on my lap, we were ready to head home.
We're heading to Florida the week after next and I'm already anticipating spending a lot of time at the playground - I can't wait!
