Bodhi and I spent a full week this week visiting my mom (Bodhi's Grandma). Dan had to go to Calgary for a week of training for work so Bodhi and I hopped on the train (brave on both of our parts) and travelled to Kingston. Bodhi fussed quite a bit on the train and slept the rest of the time - he started screaming about 1 minute before we got off - good timing - and there was Grandma to meet us. I was so worried about parenting alone for the week with Dan away, but my mom was absolutely amazing - she made a wonderful surrogate husband/father! Always cuddling him at exactly the right time and being patient with night waking. I appreciate all the support and advice she gives me and I especially appreciate the amazing love she has for her grandson - what a lucky boy. We were able to have some really quality visits with Bodhi's cousins Lucy, Sophie and Clara and were even able to get in our first swim! We had some ups and downs this week, and we were all fortunate to be together and there to support each other. I am so grateful for my family and all that they do and I know how important it is that I never take them for granted. We have all been blessed with amazing parents, siblings, partners and children and we all make a very, very good team.
