Bodhi visits the cottage!

It was a momentous occassion this weekend when we packed up the car for the first time as a family and hit the road for Pointe au Baril. With a three hour drive ahead of us, we were a little nervous how Bodhi would do - he was incredible! He slept most of the way and when he fussed a bit Dan and I turned off the ball game and turned on the Raffi and we were good to go. We spent a wonderful weekend with Bodhi's uncles, aunts and cousins, Grandpa and family and Great-Grandma. The weather was a bit chilly so we spent a lot of time playing on the verandah, swinging and reading books. We were all able to get a bit of relaxing time in, which is what we had hoped for!

It was remarkable to me how much love all of Bodhi's little cousins and friends have for him. They're all so gentle and sweet and just love to pat "Baby Bodhi"'s head and kiss his little cheek. I can't wait to watch them all grow up together and form special relationships. Bodhi's cousin Clara is just 4 months older than he is and he has another little cousin (a boy!) joining him in December - the Three Musketeers! I feel so lucky that he is able to have such a loving family of little ones to surround him and for him to love right back.

I'm looking forward to many future cottage summers full of swimming, playing, exploring, and blueberry picking - just wait until Bodhi is big enough to get in the canoe! For now, I will enjoy his sweet little tininess and wait patiently for future adventures!
