What a wonderful Christmas! This one will definitely go down in family history as one of the best. We started the holiday by heading off to Grandma's house on the 23rd to welcome Brandon, Vanessa, Lucy and little Alice! The evening mostly consisted of fussing over Alice and Bodhi showing Lucy the Christmas tree over and over and over again. The following day Brett, Karen, Sophie and Clara joined us and we all spent the day visiting, playing outside, eating, and eating and eating. Christmas morning we woke up to find that Santa had left Bodhi a train table (!!!) and had filled our stockings to the brim. We leisurely opened our presents and finally found our way downstairs for a big Christmas morning breakfast. It felt warm and calm and peaceful all day - it was a great day. The next morning we hit the road for Cambridge with our new portable DVD player blaring in the back seat and made great time. Another great visit in Cambridge and then back to Kingston so Dan could get back to work on the 29th.
This year felt extra special having the Winnipeg crew with us, including our Alice, and being able to spend Christmas out in the country at Grandma's house. Mostly it felt special because this year Bodhi really got it. You could tell that he knew these days were special. He was absolutely fantastic the whole week - happy and smiling and making me wonder every moment how I ever lived without him!
Santa, Mommy and Daddy, grandparents etc... were all very good to Bodhi and our house is now completely overflowing with toys, games, puzzles, and stuffed animals. Some of Bodhi's presents this year include: his train table, an easel, a ride-on tractor, a giant stuffed spider made by Grandma and Mommy, 2 chunky puzzles, his first remote control car, 2 robots, DVDs, books, toy animals, shall I go on?
