Today Bodhi is 18 months old. Unbelievable. It's like he knows too - this week has been a crazy week of development. Suddenly he has a whole new set of tricks and it almost seems like overnight that he's turned into a real boy - no longer a baby. This week's new tricks....
- he has FINALLY mastered the art of calling me Mommy - I've been waiting 18 months for that little gem.
- he has started to understand simple instructions - "would you like to sit in Sophie's lap?", "would you like to sit in this red chair?"
- he has started role playing with his little animals, making them walk together and "talk" to each other
- he has started stringing two words together - most notably "apple juice" and "hi clara"
- he answers "yes" and "no" questions - mostly with "no" (today he was saying no to everything until Dan asked him if he liked juice and he said "n...yes"
- he has started running (the rest of his body sometimes beats his feet though which can end in some spills)
I can't believe how much 6 months can change a little person. When I look back at what he was like when he was born, to 6 months, to 12 months, and now to 18 months, it completely boggles my mind. This tiny little baby has turned into a walking, talking, laughing, playing, wonderful little boy.
Happy 18 month birthday Bodhi!
