This past weekend was full of fun! Friday afternoon we headed out to Verona to have a sleepover visit with Grandma and Liz. We played a lot, chased the dog and cat, and had a delicious dinner. After Bodhi went off to bed, we played games and chatted and had A LOT of laughs. Bodhi slept like a champ in the pack n play (he has now slept through the night 8 or 9 nights in a row!). The next morning we woke up and played some more, had a great brunch of waffles, berries and whipped cream (yum!) and continued our visit. After Bodhi went down for his nap, Dan and I snuck out and headed off on our second date in a year and a half! We drove to Gananoque and went to see Letter from Wingfield Farm at the 1000 Islands Playhouse - it was great! We felt like giddy little teenagers, holding hands and laughing through the show. At intermission I called Mom to see how Bodhi was doing - the report: he woke up from his nap, said Hi, came upstairs, started playing and hasn't looked back since - aka he didn't even know we were gone!
That afternoon there was a Hallowe'en parade in Brett and Karen's neighbourhood so Dan and I sped off to meet up with them, Grandma, Liz, and our little caterpillar in the park by their house. They all looked so cute marching around and climbing on the play structure in their costumes. Sophie was a black cat, Clara was a bumblebee and there were a ton of other little creatures running around.
Back at our house we handed out candy for the first time ever! I was very excited until I realized that every time we opened the door to give out candy, Bodhi would get upset because he wanted to go outside. The rest of the evening consisted of candy-doling and major Bodhi distracting. We managed to hand out most of our candy (thank goodness) and the rest has skillfully been put out of my sight!
It's now November 1st (crazy!) - time to start decorating for Christmas, right?!
