Canada Day weekend! You know what that means? 4 whole days with Dan home! I've realized that since Bodhi was born we really haven't had a good amount of time with just the three of us. Not that I'm complaining! We've been so lucky to have a lot of friends and family around to dote on us - especially Bodhi. It is nice though to be able to just plan things around us and just be together. So here is how day one of the best weekend ever went down...
A few weeks ago Dan and I decided that our big balcony (which was completely bare) was just like a whole room of our apartment that we weren't using...so....yesterday we went to a couple of garden centres and stocked up. Our balcony is north facing (so gets little to no direct sun) and is on the nineteenth floor so gets quite a bit of wind. Not the greatest conditions for a garden. We decided to get mostly house plants that don't need direct sunlight and then we can bring them in for the winter. Anyway, the pictures speak for themselves. We lit some candles out there last night and right after Bodhi went to bed, Dan and I stood outside and watched the fireworks in our neighbourhood - a great view from way up here! It was really nice to have a couple of stolen moments together before I crashed! Can't wait for day two!!!
