Bodhi moves out!

Well, he's finally done it - Bodhi is all grown up. So we decided it was time for him to move out...of our room, that is! Since he was born, Bodhi has been either in a bassinet next to our bed, in his crib next to our bed, or IN our bed! His nursery wasn't getting much use, reserved only for diaper changes and the odd storytime, so the decorating kind of came to a stand still. Well not anymore! Saturday night (Bodhi's 9 month birthday no less) we moved his crib into his nursery and put him to sleep in there. He then proceeded to have the longest stretch of sleep that he has had in months. Could our theories be correct? Were we the ones waking up our little munchkin in the night? It's entirely possible! He did make the trek back to our bed at about 2am, but baby steps right?

I have very mixed emotions about this new change. I'm excited that Bodhi has his own room to enjoy and call his own, full of toys and stuffed animals and storybooks. I'm extremely sad that I won't be able to roll over in the night and peek at my peaceful sleeping boy. I'm proud that he is so brave and resilient and didn't even skip a beat being in his own room by himself. I'm anxious that I won't hear him in the night now that he's in the next room. Did I mention that I'm a bit sad? I will definitely miss my soft little sweet-smelling teddy bear. But I welcome a better sleep for all!

Here are a couple of pictures of his nursery - still a bit more to do!

Yay Mr. B!
I remember that first night where Sophie felt like a MILE away in her room. She was ON THE FLOOR because we didn't even have a crib yet, but wasn't mobile yet so that wasn't a problem. Down the hall felt like another world. Now 3 and still occasionally sleeping in our bed (uugg) I am VERY thankful for a separate room!!! Congrats Bodhster
