We had a great couple of days this past weekend! Saturday morning we all headed out bright and early to cheer Dan on in his big race in High Park. It was a beautiful day - perfect for race watching and playground adventures. We had a couple of great surprise visitors too - Rheanne and Quinn! We all cheered Dan on as he finished another 5K race. We quickly ran off to the playground where Bodhi and Quinn happily raced around the swings, slides and climbers. After saying goodbye to Rheanne and Quinn we walked home and spent the day snuggling and movie watching and generally just laying around. So nice!
Sunday was a big day - Vesak at the Zen Centre! It was so neat to take Bodhi this year when he could really enjoy all that was going on around him. Last year (he was only 1 month old) he slept through the whole thing! This year he watched the puppet show (even added his own little noises to the show), marched in the elephant parade and sat quietly and listened to the storyteller. It occurred to me that this is possibly the first annual family tradition that we have now done twice. I guess it isn't really a tradition until its been done more than once, right? There was a fabulous potluck lunch and birthday cake - it was all around a fantastic day.
