A wonderful visit

A while ago, Dan and I bought train tickets for Grandma and Poppa Walmsely to come see us in Kingston for a visit - this was that weekend! On Friday afternoon, Dan took a few hours off and we all stood waiting excitedly on the train platform for our guests. They arrived and Bodhi jumped into their arms - so excited to see his Grandma and Poppa! We spent a lovely weekend playing, visiting, and telling stories. Bodhi loved rocking on Grandma's knee and snuggling up close to Poppa and watching a band perform on television. He loved getting to show off his toys, books and new neighbourhood and couldn't get enough of going through Grandma's purse (a new favourite toy!).

It really was a nice visit. Grandma and Poppa are such easy people to have around. Always comfortable and not needing to be constantly entertained. It was so nice to just have time to sit and chat and catch up (and get beaten miserably in Rummoli). It is so important for Bodhi to have these visits with them - two people who mean the world to him - and vice versa. We plan to always have the next visit planned by the time this one ends and we'll be heading to see them, Aunt Andrea, Uncle John, Kurt and Ben in Cambridge in 3 weeks to celebrate Grandma and Poppa's 50th wedding anniversary.

It was a wonderful weekend that filled our little house with love and we won't soon forget it!
