I can't keep up with this kid! One minute he is all about one thing, the next he's all about something else! Lately Bodhi has been exploring new territory and finding some new favourite things - here are his top 10:
10. Cornstarch goop - Also a favourite of mine since it makes a kid who never sits still sit and play quietly for upwards of 45 minutes! This was introduced to Bodhi by his Grandma C. and is a definite favourite around our house.
9. Blocks - When we moved into our new house, Grandma left behind a bucket of blocks that we used to play with when I was little. They are now a favourite of Bodhi's!
8. The slide - Don't you dare to try and help him up the stairs and down the slide. Bodhi is now able to do it on his own!
7. Little table and chairs - A sweet deal for mom and dad and a new fun place for arts and crafts for Bodhi.
6. Climbing - Bodhi is a little monkey. He climbs on everything!!! The new favourite things to climb are the dining room chairs and the kitchen stools.
5. Singing and dancing - Bodhi has taken his love of music to the next level and now sings along to Old McDonald, Little Green Frog etc... and is prone to spontaneously start dancing.
4. Sleepover parties - Ever since I went back to work in the summer, Bodhi has been up to his old tricks of getting up in the night. Since then he has been climbing into bed with us part way through the night (which Dan and I secretly love).
3. Shoes and hats - Suddenly Bodhi is all about accessories. Everything he can pick up and put on his head is a "hat" and he can't get enough of pulling Daddy's shoes out of the shoe rack and trying them on for size.
2. Cutlery - Bodhi has mastered the art of the fork and spoon - although he is still partial to using his hands to eat - makes shoveling in the food go a bit faster I guess! He also loves to hold spoons and will spend an entire day with a spoon in his hand. Yesterday he went down for his nap holding a spoon, woke up, found it lying in his crib, picked it up and continued to carry it for the rest of the day (around the house, in the car, to the grocery store etc...).
1. Breakfast with Daddy - Since the move, Dan hasn't had to leave as early in the morning to get to work. We've gained almost an hour together in the morning from what we had before. What this means is that the three of us can have breakfast together every morning. Bodhi's favourite thing is to sit up on the kitchen stool next to Daddy while the two of them eat their breakfast together.
